Event Overview

Ujjvalam – Rural Camp 2026 is a four-day community-based learning initiative organized by the Department of Social Work (MSW), Christ College, Kattappana, in association with Chavaragiri CMI Special School, Parappu, from 12 to 15 August 2026. The camp provides students with an opportunity to move beyond the classroom and engage directly with the community through family visits, youth programmes, community study, tree planting, environmental cleaning, and group work. Through these experiences, students will gain practical exposure to rural life, understand community needs and social realities, and develop skills in communication, teamwork, leadership, and community participation.
